Add mailbox account for Lotus Notes
Good day, everyone. Welcome to today’s tutorial on adding a mailbox account for Lotus Notes client.
1. at welcome page, click next
2. at user information page, enter your name (this is only for humans to read, this need not be used as username) (eg. Gabriel), and uncheck ‘I want to connect to a Domino server’ checkbox
note: this guide is for you to configure lotus notes client to access a pop and smtp server, instead of a domino server
3. at instant messaging setup page, uncheck ’setup instant messaging’ checkbox, and click next
4. at additional services page, check ‘internet mail servers’, and click next
5. at set up internet mail page, select pop as type of server used for retrieving incoming mail, and enter appropriate value for incoming mail server (eg. pop.singnet.net), and click next
note:
- please enter your own incoming or pop mail server, don’t use the one given as an example
6. at the next setup internet mail page, enter appropriate values for account name (eg. gbrlno), password and confirm password, and click next
note:
- value for account name should be your username for the email
7. at the next setup internet mail page, enter appropriate value for outgoing smtp mail account (eg. smtp.singnet.net), password and confirm password, and click next
note:
- please enter your own outgoing or smtp mail server, don’t use the one given as an example
8. at the next setup internet mail page, enter appropriate value for email address (eg. gbrlno@singnet.com.sg), and internet domain (eg. singnet.com.sg) (the internet domain name is usually derived from the email), and click next
9. at notes setup is complete dialog box, click ok
