Photoshop Apply Depth of Field Effect


Hi everyone, welcome to today’s tutorial, where we will learn about applying a depth of field effect to a photo.

1. press Ctrl + J, to duplicate current layer

2. select Filter > Blur > Gaussian Blur, and enter radius of 3, to blur the new layer

3. click Add Layer Mask button

4. press D, to select default foreground color of black

5. press B, to select Brush tool, and click brush picker to select a soft medium-sized brush

6. click and drag on the ball, to make that part of the blurred image show through to the layer below
