Photoshop Blend Photo to Background

Good day, everybody. To start today’s topic off, just like to check, I’m sure many have seen ads and posters which show a photo blending smoothly into a solid background color. But, have you ever wondered how you can do something similar. Well, wonder no more, as today, I’ll show you how you too, can blend a photo into a solid-color background.

1. Open photo

2. Create new file

3. press V, to select move tool

4. click and drag photo to new file

5. click and drag to move image to top of the file

6. press I, to select eye dropper tool

select blue color of sky with eyedropper tool

7. click on the color of the sky in the photo, to set foreground color to that same color of the sky

8. select background layer in the new file

fill current layer with current foreground color

9. press Alt + Backspace, to fill the background layer with the current foreground color

10. select layer, containing the photo

click add layer mask button

11. click add layer mask button

12. press G, to select gradient tool

13. press Enter, to open gradient presets

select black to white gradient

14. double-click the black to white gradient (3rd gradient from the top right)

click and drag with gradient tool

15. click and drag from the bottom to the middle of the photo
